Boston United: Clarke to move abroad

Shane Clark

Blue Square Bet North side Boston United have announced they have parted company with midfielder Shane Clarke.

Clarke has reportedly been offered a trial in America with a Major League Soccer (MLS) team. He has struggled in English football and failed to hold down a place in the starting XI at former club Lincoln City. During his four years with the Imps from 2006 to 2010, Clarke made 68 appearances.

The Lincoln-born midfielder has decided a move across the Atlantic is best for him in order to further his career as a professional footballer.

Rob Scott, joint-manager at Boston United, has wished him good luck and didn’t want to stand in his way as he progressed in his career.
